Arctic Bay HIV/AIDS/hepatitis C Program
Description: Nunavut Youth Consulting is a non-pro?t youth organization that works towards improving Nunavut youth services. Work is mainly voluntary and completed by youth. Areas of concentration are education and health.
Goal: Public awareness and prevention through education, youth educating youth, and youth supporting youth.
Services: We hold an annual HIV/AIDS/hepatitis C fair at the Inuutaq School and Nunavut Arctic College; coordinate the community Walk for Life in September; and provide youth perspectives for the boards of the Canadian Inuit HIV/AIDS Network and the Canadian Aboriginal AIDS Network.
Youth Involvement: Youth are involved from the start until the ?nish of the programs, from assisting with fundraising, planning and organizing the events to running the events and doing any required follow-up.
Age Range: 13-30
