What is Complementary Therapy?
Along with HIV meds some people
with HIV or AIDS use "complementary"
therapies. Complementary therapies
are called this because they are often
used in addition to more conventional
medical therapies. Most complementary
therapies are not offered in medical
clinics or hospital settings. If you
are on conventional antiretroviral
meds and want to use complementary
therapies, discuss this with your
health care provider first. There
could be bad interactions between
your meds and complementary therapy.
I use acupuncture and herbs
to take away some for the side effects
of antiretroviral drugs
