Exercise
Should I start exercising more?
There are lots of reasons to exercise.
You have probably heard them a hundred
timesbut here they are again.
Exercise helps you:
- build and keep muscle mass
- stay fit and healthy
- relax and release stress
- fight against illness/disease
(heart disease, hypertension, colon
cancer)
- fight against depression
- reduce PMS & menstrual cramps
- increase energy & confidence
- increase your appetite
- AND its fun!
Exercise is especially good for people
with HIV because you need to make
sure you are staying healthy and active
to help your body fight HIV. In fact,
some studies have said that exercise
actually increases your CD4+ cells,
which are excellent for your immune
system. If you are not exercising,
you should try to start walking or
playing a sport you like.
Remember, exercising to the point
of exhaustion is not good.
