Hormones
Know what you are taking! Some transgender
people take hormones without medical
help by buying them on-line or on
the street or by sharing someone elses
prescription. This is very risky!
Hormones can have bad side effects
and can also increase the chance of
getting other diseases. If you are
taking hormones on your own you can
still get your blood levels checked
and the side effects monitored.
But, the best idea is to talk to
a health professional about what you
are getting into. If you decide to
start using hormones, keep to the
dosage and phases, and carefully read
the instructions you are given. Remember,
its a lot safer to take pills
than shootavoid needles if possible.

Help section for more information]
