How do I get an STI?
You can get an STI:
- if you have direct contact with
a person's skin sores caused by
an STI
- if you have direct contact with
the inside of the vagina, butt or
mouth of someone who has an STI
- if you have direct contact with
body fluids (sperm/semen, vaginal
fluid, blood) of someone who has
an STI
- during a SEXUAL ACTIVITY with
someone who has an STI
Most STIs are passed on when you
or your sexual partner don't use a
condom or a latex barrier (like a
dental dam or plastic wrapthe
kind used in the kitchen) when having
vaginal or anal sex or when giving
or receiving oral sex.
