Douching is what a girl can do to clean out her vagina. But the vagina is already a very clean part of the body. Douching won't stop you from being infected or help you get rid of STIs. After you've come into contact with an STI, it's almost impossible to get rid of it without medication. Talk to your doctor about the effects of douching. Also, douching can make you more susceptible to yeast infections which are a common problem for women with HIV.
