Genital Warts
What is genital warts? A common
virus, the human papilloma virus or
HPV, cause genital warts.
How do I get it? Skin-to-skin
contact and vaginal, anal or oral
sex with someone who has warts or
the virus.
Symptoms: Usually this is
painless, sometimes you can feel itchy
in your genital region. The warts
may appear individually or in clusters
inside or outside your crotch.
Prevention: Lots of people
have warts and dont know it,
especially women, because the warts
can be inside the vaginal area. You
should use condoms and other latex
barriers to reduce the risk of catching
it. BUT, since it is passed on by
skin-to-skin contact, you can get
it very easily.
Treatment: Genital warts are
treatable. Talk to your doctor about
the best options for you.
