What is a virus?

A virus is a germ that can attack your healthy cells. A person usually gets sick when they get a virus. A virus is different from other kinds of germs. The difference between a bacterium and virus is that a bacterium can grow on its own, but a virus needs to get inside a healthy cell that already is in your body and take it over to make more copies of itself.
